FLUFFY SILKIE CHICKS

The silkie chicken is an old breed of poultry that originated in Southeast Asia, the breed is aptly named for its fluffy plumage that is said to feel like silk. Silkies are also unique because of their dark blue flesh and bones, blue earlobes, five (as opposed to four) toes on each foot, and their inability to fly. It is quite difficult to tell the difference between male and female silkie chicks because they take longer to mature than most other chicken breeds.

Silkie chickens are one of the most charming and sweet natured breeds you will come across- we are yet to meet a silkie we haven’t fallen completely in love with! They are exceptionally friendly, docile and calm, so they make a perfect pet- especially for children. They will happily sit in your little ones lap without hesitation, snuggling up close and lapping up all the love and attention.

The colours we breed are
white, partridge, paint, blue, light partridge, and this wonderful red colouring.

Chicks will be a week old when released to you. We want to make sure they're
happy and healthy before they travel to their new homes.

Our chicks are sold unsexed only
